Ayan Elmi was born in Somalia but grew up in Canada.  She later moved to New York where she launched her modeling career.

Elmi has modeled for Jean Paul Gautier’s Spring/Summer 2007 collection. Other designers she has walked for include Gavin Rajah, Georges Hobeika, Frank Sorbier, Mark Le Bihan, Nicolas Le Cauchois, Richard René, Mataano, and Yahya.

Zane, the NY Times Bestselling Author of 30 books and the Publisher of Strebor Books/ATRIA/Simon and Schuster,  is also the Creator, Scripwriter and Executive Producer of two Cinemax series–’Zane’s Sex Chronicles’ and ‘Zane’s The Jump Off’.
