I don’t quite think that music piracy affects musician’s livelihood- look at the bigger picture: a lot of musicians are popular because of their music (obviously pirated) being played in ma3s and marketed by word of mouth and exchanged between friends. Why don’t musicians then seek live performances as their primary source of income? Honestly, I can’t picture myself buying a CD- i’ll hardly listen to it. And if I download a legal copy of the song to my phone, altruism dictates that I’ll share it with my friend who’ll then share with other friends. anyway, I don’t listen to local music, so artistes, relax.
