Boris Kodjoe brings Ziami home to Ghana
Exopa Model Agency International has left nothing to chance in order to ensure that this year’s Ghana Fashion Weekend turns heads in the fashion world. This year, joining the numerous fashion designers from Ghana and across Africa would be Ghanaian-German Hollywood actor, Boris Kodjoe. The ‘Soul Food’ star will get the chance to showcase his Ziami clothing line to Ghanaians for the first time and also use the opportunity to find out more about his father’s home country.

Nigerian-born, English-raised South African actor/producer Hakeem Kae-Kazim certainly gained international recognition for his role as Georges Rutaganda in Hotel Rwanda in 2004 and he continues to be on the rise.

The Culture Caravan Cranks up!
8 cities and towns across Ghana will come alive to a wonderful road show starring some of the best musicians the country has to offer.
‘The Culture Caravan’ is a musical program in a contemporary context; with a DJ, a band, traditional musicians, dancers, artistes and actors taking audiences through popular Ghanaian fables, daily drama, current news and issues. 
This would include spin offs on some Ananse stories, and themes concerning environmental degradation among others. Lloyd storms Ghana with a lot of love
US R&B superstar, Lloyd has treated Ghanaian fans to a special performance. The Atlanta R&B sensation performed a few of his hit songs including ‘You‘ , ‘South Side’, ‘Get it Shawty‘ and ‘Girls Around the World‘ to rousing cheers especially from female fans.
Excited by the reaction he got from the crowd, Lloyd expressed his appreciation for the love Ghanaians showed on the night and throughout his stay. He has since left for Nigeria, where he is expected to hold a similar show. » Read more…
Okyeame Kwame, Praye and Others shine at 10th Ghana Music Awards
After endless speculations, criticisms, and a long wait, the 10th edition of the annual Ghana Music Awards was finally held last Saturday at the Dome of the Accra Conference Center to a sold-out audience. The biggest ceremony saw Okyeame Kwame winning the Artiste of the Year. Although the 2008 was described as the most competitive year for the Ghana Music Awards, favorites Okyeame Kwame, Praye and Christiana Love came up tops on the night filled with excitement, cheers and some few surprises.
Wangari Maathai Revealed On CNN
This April, the global news channel, CNN will feature Wangari Maathai, a Nobel peace laureate, Kenyan conservationist and human rights activist. Airing on Wednesday April 15 at 10:30 CAT the program, Revealed, follows Wangari, now almost 70, who continues to travel the world tirelessly spreading her message that global citizens must protect and cherish the planet’s limited resources.
Wangari grew up walking among trees, and today she walks among the world’s leaders. 9ice Rocks Ghana to ‘Gongo Aso’
The multi-award winning Nigerian hip-hop artist 9ice on Saturday treated a limited audience at the Accra International Conference Center to an energetic performance in a gig dubbed ‘Ghana 9ice Concert’.
9ice, born Abolore Akande, has earned international recognition for his hit song, ‘Gongo Aso’, winning him the MOBO award for best African act in 2008, and a performance for Mandela at his 46664 Birthday Concert. Without a doubt, the Yoruba rapper is currently one of Nigeria’s foremost musical culture exponents. Geez Clark: young, urban and fresh
Young Ghanaian fashion entrepreneur, Iceloomy Akwasi Danso is gradually growing his Geez Clark collection of urban apparels into a formidable fashion brand for the young and trendy African. Born in Ghana, Iceloomy grew up in Queens, NY where he picked up a lot of Africa-American cultures that influence his clothing line today. He has been coming up with most of the design ideas since he started the label in 2006, but actually has a design team of like-minded people who finalize these ideas.
Geez Clark Clothing is about contemporary hip-hop culture, mixing the urban aesthetics of the streets and the preppy culture of the African continent. The name originated from way back in high school when Iceloomy and friends settled on the Name Geez Clark for a party they threw. The name stuck and gradually became a trademark. “My collections are mostly urban apparel, cut clean from selected fine cottons, which gives the styles a different and awesome look.
