Outcasts of Jupiter is a new, scifi adventure comic written by Shobo Coker and drawn by Shofela Coker. The story takes place on Earth, in 3125, in the fictional City of Seven Faces, a visually and culturally rich cliff side city in our version of Morocco. The exotic City of Seven Faces is a mysterious place, full of strange secrets, slavers, gangsters and wanted criminals.

An African City – a modern view of modern Africa

‘An African City’ is an online television series that looks at a group of Africans who have returned to the continent after being away for years.

Billed by BBC as “Africa’s answer to ‘Sex and the City’“, it showcases the modern side of Africa.  The ladies are wearing contemporary African outfits, and accessorizing with great African jewelry pieces. You also get to hear really great music  by some accomplished African musicians (M.anifest, Maurice Kirya, Lady Jay) and see beautiful locations that are the other side of the African landscape.

3-week South African festival for Carnegie Hall

The Carnegie Hall is planning to host a 3-week South African festival of music and art.  Ubuntu: Music and Arts of South Africa, will run from Oct. 10 through Nov. 5  2014 and will feature Hugh Masekela, Vusi Mahlasela, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Abdullah Ibrahim, William Kentridge, and Phillip Miller.  Singer Angélique Kidjo will  honor legendary singer and activist Miriam Makeba.
