Estelle was at it again with an appearance at Love Sessions in Los Angeles, California. The Africa Rising Festival in London was a big draw and went well. This has definitely been Estelle’s year and she was rewarded with two MOBO Awards for best UK female, and best song for her hit “American Boy”. Leona Lewis’ won best video for ‘Bleeding Love‘ and best album for the multi-million selling “Spirit“.
A bevy of names showed up for the awards including Taio Cruz, John Legend, Billy Ocean, Djibril Cisse, Grace Jones, Melanie Brown, and Chipmunk. SAFTA award wining actress Vatiswa Ndara will be one of the participating Jurors of the 2008 International Emmy® Awards and will be judging the category of Best Performance by an Actress.

Weekend Buzz
Seal performed at Tiger Woods’ Learning Center. Tiger was throwing a block party to raise money for his center that provides an interactive enrichment program for youth that will improve individual aptitude in reading, math, science and technology. As a result, youth will develop personal accountability, independence and resilience leading to greater knowledge of career options and an increase in college enrollment. The party raised over $1 million for the center.
Idris Elba and Thandie Newton celebrated the premier of the highly anticipated Guy Ritchie movie, “RocknRolla“, in Hollywood. Iman showed up to support the New York Women’s Foundation fund-raising gala “Stepping Out and Stepping Up”. Liya Kebede was spotted at the Museum of Modern Art.
