Zone Fam want to “Shaka Zulu on Em”

If you haven’t heard of Zone Fam, you are about to be really impressed.  Zone Fam is a group based in Lusaka, Zambia, that has some of the hottest beats around.  Their hooks are wicked, and their style has all the hint of African swag.

Their initial single, “Mabhodlela (Bottles)” was a huge success and they are already duplicating it with their next hot song, “Shaka Zulu on Em” which is about African pride and paying homage to their roots.  Don’t underestimate this group…their rap is deep…really deep.

Following the moves of their idol, Michael Jackson, they became legend in Jos, Nigeria for their breakdancing with their friends, M Clef a.k.a Itemoh, Michael, and Melvin. In 1999 they honed their musical skills and wrote soundtracks for movies including ‘Tobi’, ‘Mama Sunday’, ‘Moment of Bitterness’ and ‘Evas River’.

Da Grin passes after accident

Da Grin was a very gifted rapper and musical artist whose ability to paint verbal pictures and share his reality with others was almost unmatched. 

He was involved in a terrible accident on April 14, 2010 when his car ran into a cement truck.  He had been in critical condition in the hospital, although unconfirmed reports first stated that his condition was not as serious as originally thought.  His manager and close friends however confirmed that he had sustained serious injuries to his head, jaw and chest.
