D’banj’s official ‘Oliver Twist’ video – Can you Azonto?

Nomsa Mazwai a.k.a Nomisupasta is a South African Music Award winning musician who is a Fulbright Scholar studying Economics at Fordham University. She has a beautiful spirit, lots of character and is immensely talented all the while maintaining a certain level of humility. She performed at the Drom in New York on March 9th, a performance that was artistic in every sense of the world.

Singer Andy Brown Dead at age 50

Andy Brown, the singer from Zimbabwe, died from an unknown ailment at Harare’s Parirenyatwa Hospital. Brown had been ill for a long time and got progressively worse, leading to his hospitalization on Thursday, March 15, 2012.

Cesaria Evoria dies

Legendary African Musician Cesaria Evoria, from Cape Verde died on Saturday, December 17th, 2011. The singer who had been suffering from various health problems retired early this year and she died peacefully in Mindelo in her native island of Sao Vicente in the Baptista de Sousa Hospital.

Well folks, the Washington DC area is again going to be honored with yet another hot Nigerian artist–Flavour.  He is famous for his controversial song, ‘Ashawo (Nwa Baby)‘ which has already been banned in Malawi for not being up to their standards.    Nevertheless, his infectious dance tunes have garnered him a strong following across Africa, including Kenya, South Africa, Cameroon, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania.
