Cameroon has shown an indomitable spirit as it fights to win the African Cup of Nations championship.  Although Ghana had several opportunities to score, it couldn’t quite seem to get itself together to bring a goal to fruition.  The end result was that Cameroon was able to push a goal in, in the second half, dashing Ghana’s hopes of making it into the finals.  » Read more…

Eto’o against one of the Eagles A Lions’ Fan in full colors

Tunisia was determined to win the game and go into the semi-finals against Ghana, but Cameroon dashed those hopes. Tunisia shut down Eto’o at every opportunity and made Cameroon play almost 120 minutes before they could score their winning goal. It was a great match with both sides playing so hard that there were a number of fouls called against each team. Cameroon will now face Ghana in a match that we hope will be as hard fought as this one. » Read more…

Samuel Eto’o and Joseph Job celebrate

Samuel Eto’o was helped the Cameroonians beat the Zambians 5-1 in a game that pushed them into the next round. The game was well played with the Cameroonians showcasing their skilled defending, and highlighting the Zambian’s weaknesses (at one point Joseph Job was able to walk the ball into the net). Jomaa and Bekri

Tunisia and Senegal have not met since 2004, but this match was highly anticipated. Tunisia led with an early lead from a goal by Traoui which was answered by a goal by Moustapha Sall. Diomansy Kamara scored another goal to help put Senegal in the lead but it was not to last long as Traoui scored another goal. It was obvious from the play that Senegal played a better game than Tunisia and it will be interesting to see how they do in their next match-up. » Read more…

Sulley Muntari

Ghana has a strong team made up of players who have international experience, so it was expected that it would be fairly easy for them to beat Guinea, but Ghana fought hard, in a packed stadium, to beat Guinea in a last minute kick, courtesy of a stunning last minute 25-yard kick by Sulley Muntari. Both sides played very well with the first goal coming from Asamoah Gyan. He had another opportunity to score again but missed the opportunity. » Read more…
