Basketball in Africa: Trending now

Basketball is not a sport that we hear of very often in Africa (at least not as a sport that would like to encourage our children to participate in).  Instead we focus on soccer, that ultimate sport that keeps us enthralled in front of the television, yelling obscenities to the referees when they call fouls against our beloved team.

Striker Demba Ba has completed his move from Newcastle to Chelsea.

Africans in Ice Hockey – Yes, we play that too

We don’t often hear about players of color in ice hockey, and we hear even less about the ones who have African parentage. Here are some that we found.

They are quite easy on the eyes and have proven to be formidable on the ice.
