Anthony Alabi – Free Agent
Anthony Alabi, a Nigerian/Puerto Rican, played for the Miami Dolphins but spent more time on injury reserve then he did playing. This did not help his career and in February 11, 2006 he was finally released.
Stephen Cooper – San Diego Chargers
Stephen Cooper, Inside Linebacker for the San Diego Chargers, is serving a four game suspension for violating the NFL’s banned substance policy. He tested positive for Ephedra in December 2007, but claims that he was unaware that it was a banned substance despite the fact that it has been illegal in the league since 2001. Tsk, tsk, Stephen. What would your mother say (and a Cape Verde mama at that!)?
This is not Cooper’s first brush with the substance abuse police. His history dates back to 2002 when he was playing for University of Maine and he was caught with possession of 1000 steroid pills. He was not penalized as possession of steroids as possession of steroids was not an offense by N.C.A.A. standards. Consequently he went undrafted in 2002 and was drafted by San Diego in 2003. » Read more…
Madieu Williams – Minnesota Vikings

2008 NFL Draft Watch: Kenny Iwebama
Kenny didn’t start playing football in Texas until high school, which is way late by Texas standards. That didn’t stop him from proving to be an extremely effective player once he started. His list of awards proves that you can be good regardless of when you start. » Read more…

2008 NFL Draft Watch: Jeff Otah
It is interesting to note that while at William Penn High School, Otah didn’t start in football, but in basketball where he lettered twice. While he was there, he was convinced by his coach to join the football team where he played so well that the coach had him play as a starter for that solitary year. » Read more…
2008 NFL Draft Watch: Xavier Adibi
Xavier Adibi is the kind of player that gets hurt in a game on Monday, and comes back on Thursday to make 8 tackles, including 2 sacks. That’s the kind of player you want in the NFL. He was part of the Hokies most successful linebacker tandems and some have called him one of the best linebackers in college football. His speed is an asset to any team, as is his ability to rush effectively. Speculation is that he will make it to the second round only but that remains to be seen. » Read more…
