African Footprint is a wonderful musical presentation of south african music with euro-centric music and dance. In 1999, 30 cast members were chosen from hundreds of hopefuls and trained to provide spectacular entertainment. Dubbed the ‘Riverdance of South Africa’, its soundtrack went gold in 2004. The show is exciting and interesting, and the cast has performed for Prince Charles, Nelson Mandela, the FIFA Annual World Congress, and several different world festivals.
It has won 3 Vita Awards (South Africa’s Tony Awards) for Best Ensemble Piece, Best Lighting, Best Musica, and won 2 2 Naledi Awards for: Best Original Choreography and Best Lighting. It continues to win rave reviews and draw huge crowds in shows around the world. To see more about this fantastic production, visit their website.
