According to reports, Big Brother Africa 2 winner, Richard, and his former housemate, Meryl, are shooting a movie for Nollywood. Well this wouldn’t be the first time an ex-housemate tried to cross over into acting. Although most of them spent days playing to the cameras in the Big Brother House, former BBA housemate, Abby’s failed attempts at acting should be evidence that the transition is not necessarily a piece of cake.
Richard had the following to say on his blog:
“Here I am acting in the lead role as a guy called Slow. Acting is hard work actually much harder than I thought. Every scene takes time to get set up and we work late into the night usually until 4am. The power cuts also slow things down but the plan is that we will be done tomorrow. I will be doing a second movie later on with the same director called Moses Inwang. Meryl is also acting with me as well as some major Nigerian stars. I will put more details about the movie, the release date and all of that stuff later on.”
I wonder why Richard makes it sound like he was shooting a Hollywood blockbuster. Hello, this is Nollywood where a movie can be shot in one week. LOL! Good luck to the both of you.
