Leading sportswear manufacturers, Nike have signed on Ghanaian-born American producer, Eric Kwabena Matlock better known as Coptic to produce music for an upcoming campaign for Nike’s brand-new football collections that combine authentic football culture with crisp, contemporary styling.
Nike Sports Wear recently released a teaser with an exclusive look at the brand-new football collections as a build up to the 2012 NFL season. It shows glimpses of fresh looks on gridiron stars like Mark Sanchez, Victor Cruz, Calvin Johnson and Desean Jackson. The women’s styles were also previewed using models Chrissy Tiegen and Hilary Rhoda, as well as professional athlete Swin Cash.
The teaser features music produced by Coptic specifically for the campaign. Coptic migrated to the U.S. at 13 and started producing music years later. He since has produced records for The Notorious B.I.G (If I Should Die Before I Wake & Living The Life), Puff Daddy aka “Diddy” (I Need A Girl), Jermaine Dupri (All That’s Gotta Go), Ma$e, KRS-One, Shyne and countless other successful artists on their platinum plus albums.
