From the 7th to the 10th of August- Lilongwe, Malawi will be bursting with local African music as the Music Crossroads InterRegional Festival (IRF) converges on the city!
Up-and-coming young bands from Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe have been selected through national competitions to play at the Music Crossroads IRF, which will be one of the biggest Malawian musical events for 2008. The Music Crossroads IRF reflects Africa’s musical diversity as genres such as ethnic/traditional, pop, rock, hip-hop – and all imaginable mixes in between will be heard.
