Idris Elba gets to  be a leading man in this new movie that features a lot of names that will have women swooning and men wishing they could be them.

Takers is about a group of savvy robbers who manage to always stay several steps ahead of the cops until they meet a cop who is determined to bring them down.  The movie has a star-studded lineup including Paul Walker, Chris Brown, Matt Dillon, Jay Hernandez, T.I. , and Hayden Christensen.  Idris is the leader of the bank robbers, and Matt Dillon is the hard-nosed detective.  We get to hear Idris use his British accent which should be a welcome change.

Overall, the film seems to be more action and hotshots than anything else, but with all that eye candy, who really cares. Plus there are enough explosions for those who like that kind of action (and the slomo walk away from the explosion…can’t leave that out).

The film opens in theaters on February 19, 2010 so keep your eyes peeled for more information.
