‘The Return of Lazarus‘ is the first feature film Alexandros Konstantaras shot in Greece.

Two brothers, Lazarus (Alexandros Koch) and Kyriakos (Nelson Lucas), set out for a road trip to Maronia, Northern Greece, in a quest for the mythical cave of the Cyclops.
On their journey they meet King’ora (Lizz Njagah), a Kenyan woman who works in a local motel. The movie, beautifully shot on location, with elements of magical realism premiered last October during the Kenyan International Film Festival’s 2012 edition.
Lizz Njagah is an international stage, TV and film actress and model. In mid 2000 she was discovered by James Falkland, then director of Phoenix Players, the only repertory theatre company of its kind in East Africa. Phoenix Players awarded her the prestigious KWAL scholarship, an intensive two – year internship program. During her time at Phoenix Players, she appeared in many plays including ‘Once on This Island’, ‘Othello’, ‘Merchant of Venice’, ‘Servant of Two Masters’, ‘Kidnap Game‘ and ‘Lion and the Jewel‘ to name but a few. Lizz played the lead character, Nancy, in the TV series ‘Makutano Junction’ which aired all across Africa on MNET’s Africa Magic Channel and the lead character, Dr. Salma, in Kenya’s first medical drama ‘Saints’.
The film will be one of the two official entries of Kenya at the 2nd Athens African Film Festival, which will take part from 21st to 28th of February 2013. The festival is being organized by the African Embassies in Greece.
Lizz Njagah married her manager, Alexandros Konstantaras on June 10, 2012.
