Mary Oyaya has been modeling and acting for as long as she can remember. She was an extra in Lost Souls, Down and Under, Farscape, and her most famous role yet, as Luminara Unduli in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. She has been featured in fashion magazines such as ‘CAT’ and ‘S’ where she has advertised Salvatore Ferragamo and Gucci sunglasses, Chanel and Jan Logan jewelry and footwear with Sergio Rossi. Mary has also appeared onscreen in commercials for Telstra Communications, Hewlett Packard Bell, and various sports advertisements. Born in Mombasa, Kenya to UN diplomat parents, she has lived all over the world, completed two masters degrees (in International Relations and Interntional Social Development), and works with refugees in Australia where she now lives.
As the character, Luminara, she plays a highly skilled Jedi with exceptional light saber skills. Luminara has been immortalized in the LEGO Star Wars series, has been in a board game, and has an exceptionally large following of devoted Star Wars followers.
