One Night in Vegas movie premieres in Washington DC
Washington DC is going to be a very busy town as some of the best in Nollywood show up for the African Oscars.
‘One Night in Vegas‘, is one of the movies that will premiere in DC the day before the Awards ceremonies.
This a movie about James (John Dumelo) and Genie (Yvonne Nelson), a young African couple who have been married for 5 years and don’t have kids. James has just finished testifying in a very high-profile case which put his family in jepoardy, forcing him to hire a bodyguard, Nick (Jimmy Jean-Louis). The case comes to an end and all the defendants go to jail. James can now let Nick go, but decides to invite him for a final trip to Vegas. James’ wife, Genie, is not too thrilled as she was hoping for a more romantic trip. The trip is also exciting for James as he gets to reconnect with an old friend, Tony (Van Vicker), who lives in Vegas. Genie is more upset about this turn of events as she and Tony have a history that involved him doing something so terrible to her that she does not talk about it.
The premier of the movie will take place at the National Museum Theater on September 13, 2013. There will be two screenings — 6-8 p.m. and 8-10 p.m. followed by an afterparty at 701 Pennsylvania Avenue. Performers at the afterparty include Chris DeShield (2008 winner of the BET 106 & Park ‘Wild Out Wednesday’ competition) and Betty G, also on the soundtrack.
