Boris Kodjoe is an FBI agent in the sci-fi thriller, Surrogates, which is based on a Robert Venditti/ Brett Weldele book. He investigates a mysterious murder of a college student linked to the man who helped create a high-tech surrogate phenomenon that allows people to purchase unflawed robotic versions of themselves – fit, good looking remotely controlled machines that ultimately assume their life roles – enabling people to experience life vicariously from the comfort and safety of their own homes.

Tyler Perry is the master at discovering new talent and inaugurates two young rising African stars 10-year old Kwesi Boakye and Hope Olaide Wilson, to his latest number one film “I Can Do Bad All By Myself.” The film hit theaters on Friday, September 11th. The red carpet was rolled out for the screening, held several days prior in the heart of Chelsea, Manhattan. The premier generated a media frenzy as we all waited in line to get the best shot, sound bite or a quick interview from the all star cast: Taraji Henson, Gladys Knight, Mary J. Winnie Madikizela -Mandela is famously known for her profound role she played in the South African history during the apartheid times and most importantly she is well known for being Nelson Mandela’s rock and the first African first lady in South Africa.

Isaach De Bankole is an Cote D’Ivoire actor born to parents from Benin (ironically he has grandparents from Nigeria….truly an African man). He has starred in over 30 films, and won the 1987 César Award for Most Promising Actor for his role in ‘Black Mic Mac’. In 2006 he was Stephen Obanno in the James Bond movie, ‘Casino Royale’. He has has a degree in acting from Cours Simon and a degree in mathematics from the Universite de Paris.
