There are many movies coming out soon but the one that has me really chomping at the bit is the movie, Redbelt. This movie, directed by David Mamet (House of Games, The Spanish Prisoner) is the story of Mike Terry (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a Jiu-Jitsu teacher who has always practiced his martial arts with a code of honor. His life takes a turn due to a series of events that force him to fight to defend his honor and save his school.
Chiwetel Ejiofor is a very versatile actor and he carries his role convincingly. The story leads you down the path of his life as he watches himself have to make decisions that seem to go against everything he believes in. For those of you who are great martial arts buffs, this movie showcases some great martial arts moves. Action and drama seal it and make it one not to miss. The star studded cast include Joe Montegna, Emily Mortimer, Alice Braga, and Tim Allen. The movie is slated to be released on May 9, 2008.
