Stacey Lauretta Dash started her career as a child actress on Sesame Street and went on to act on The Cosby Show, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, TV 101 (with Matt LeBlanc and Sam Robards). On the big screen, she has been seen in Moving, Mo’ Money, Renaissance Man, Illegal in Blue, I Could Never be Your Woman, Nora’s Hair Salon II, Fashion Victim, Ghost Image and American Primitiveand Clueless (with Alicia Silverstone).
Other credits include, View from the Top, Gang Of Roses, Eve, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Strip, and Getting Played.
Adding to the roster of Africans on Playboy, Dash posed in the August 2006 issue. In 2006, she launched her own lingerie line called Letters of Marque.
She is a cousin of Damon Dash, the former CEO and co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records, and a sister to Darien Dash, the CEO of DME Interactive Holdings, the first publicly traded African-American-owned internet company.
Dash married Brian Lovell in 1999 and they had a daugther, Lola together. She has one other child, Austin. She divorced Lovell in 2006.

Thanks for sharing. She is African American by birth but is Cape Verdean by heritage. She is one example of Africans born here who are second or third generation but have one or both parents of direct African descent. Our job is to celebrate all of them regardless of where they were born.

Daaaaaaaaam!!! I knew we had some good lookin women but she’s the icing on the cake!! Amber Rose is Cape Verdean too.
