Malawian top song stars will come face to face in Lilongwe on Sunday as Malawi’s top arts group, Words Art and Pictures (WAPi), supports the launch of ‘Umayitha’ (you know how to do it), by Biriwiri, one of the rising Malawian hip hop groups.
According to event promoter, Qabaniso Malewezi, the Lilongwe Show that will be backed by Mizati band, will be a follow-up show of the successful launch in Blantyre some few weeks ago.
Malewezi said the show will be supported by other top Malawian performers including Atumwi who has taken the Malawian musical scene by storm.
Tay Grin the Malawian music sensation who will also be performing in Blantyre on Saturday at the launch of the Black Rhino. This Malawian entertainment outfit shall also show what it takes to get into an international music career at the event.
Other artists performing include Malewezi, popularly known in the Malawian musical circles as Q, Dominant 1, Tha Gospel, Young Kay, Barry One, and many more.
According to Malewezi, WAPi will is also taking some artists that have featured at the event to be part of the show.
