Plies and pirouettes were in endless supply as the Stars of the Ballet Moscow celebrated the 70th anniversary of Rudolf Nurayev. The performance took place at the Artscape Theater in Cape Town and was part of a simultaneous celebration of the life of Rudolf Nurayev that took place around the world.
The Stars of the Ballet Moscow were directed by Yuri Vetrov, a former director of the Bolshoi Ballet, and the production featured dancers from prominent ballet companies including the Moscow State Classical Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, Russian National Ballet, Kremlin Ballet, Crown of the Russian Ballet, and the Metropolitan Classical Ballet of the US.
