President Elect Barack Obama Celebrates at Grant Park
The celebrities were at Grant Park in strength to witness the historic event of the election of the 44th President of the United States of America, president-elect Barack Obama.
Jesse Jackson and Oprah stood with tears flowing freely down his cheeks as he listened to Obama give his acceptance speech. It was indeed an historic event, from the announcement of his candidacy, to the mobilization of everyday people into what has become, in essence, a movement. There were several tears shed in the crowd as the realization that a dream had become a reality, set in.
