Elle Magazine, Belgium, recently showcased the talented Soul:ID to find out what they are up to. In the interview and photo shoot, they talked about their trip to Rwanda, and their reception in New York. Made up of 4 members from 3 African countries and one European country, their recent invitation to a radio station to be the feature of a show that famed DJ OhSoKool put together to prove that you can find good soul music outside the US, helped launch them further forward.

T’Chai, the only female in the group revealed that talent runs in the family (she is the sister of Jean-Christophe Matata, a famous musician in Burundi) and that she has a weakness for shoes. They now have a contract with ABB Records in America, and Avex in Japan, and are planning a tour of Japan, potentially with Pharrell. All this is great news and we wish them all the best.
