We last told you about Ahmed Soultan in 2007 when he released his album, ‘Tolerance‘.
Since then he has appeared on Ne-Yo’s song ‘Amazing You‘ in 2010.
In 2011 his song ‘Jokko’ was nominated for Best North African Song and Best African Reggae Song of the Year. That same year he performed with Talib Kweli, Angélique Kidjo, Zap Mama, and Freshlyground on the song ‘People Power’ to help fight climate change.
2012 seem to have been a banner year for him. He won the Best Middle East Act award, the Best Africa, Middle East and India act, and the Best Worldwide act at the 2012 MTV Europe Music Awards.
This video features his song, ‘My Jailer‘. It has great guitar notes and features him singing in both English and Arabic.
