Akon and Peter Buffett announced the launch of a new collaboration to make a difference in social projects using music. The website, IstheresomethingIcando.com, is a social action and resource website they have launched to help people make a real difference.
Akon collaborated with Peter Buffett on a song he (Buffett) released in 2007 called Anything. Buffett released the song after he visited Liberia and Sierra Leone as a call to social action. When Akon heard the song he contacted, Buffett and they made a remix with Akon singing in it. The most interesting thing is that they didn’t know about each other before they began the collaboration but were drawn to work together based on a common goal.
