Akon is at it again…helping yet another former (using the term loosely) A-lister come back with a vengeance. Michael Jackson trusted him with a remake of his song and, now, Whitney Houston is working on some tracks and a duet with him titled “Like I Never Left“.
They might also be working on a song for Michael Jackson’s comeback album according to his interview with MTV News where he stated that “Right now that’s in the air. I can’t talk about it.”
I am a huge fan of Whitney Houston who is one of the few stars that could actually sing, and had great range and I am glad that she decided that Akon had the magic to bring her back into the limelight. Go, Akon! Despite some negative press, you still manage to rise to the top and then hit the ground running.

after listening to the song both here and on the radio-several times, to be fair, some bits sound like the Whitney i used to know–a few sound disjointed. but it’s a great job on the whole. it will be even a better one if the rest of the tracks (since there is talk of an album) sound better than this.
