‘Speechless‘, in more ways than one, is the perfect title for this album that left me speechless after my one-on-one session with it. Ms. Carol Atemi, a neo-soul/afro-soul artist whose current album, ‘Speechless‘, spoke volumes to my soul, is a Kenyan daughter with a flirtatious, divalicious voice that carries lyrics intertwined between the Swahili and English language.
Her music speaks to the masses and especially to those who are fans of soulful and jazz music. She is a new favorite of mine and I must truly say she is Africa’s very own Jill Scott. She possesses incredible swag that is projected through her music which is rooted in the many elements found in the African culture. There is no doubt in my mind that this album deserve four drums. Hope you enjoy the video and whilst at it, please feel free to share you thoughts.

Atemi’s wackily unique personality is thankfully reflected in her singing style. It’s very refreshing to have her on the music scene. She’s not ‘Africa’s very own Jill Scott’, she’s ATEMI!!!
