Chris DeShield is a talented singer who won the BET ‘Wild Out Wednesday‘ challenge in January this year. He is now pitting his singing talent against previous show winners to go for the ultimate Wild Out Wednesday talent. Jamati talked to him to find out what his life has been like since he won.
Jamati: We hear that you are now going to be competing against the prior winners of the BET Wild Out Wednesday competition. Tell us a little bit more about that.
Yes, the competition is going to take place on August 13, 2008. BET is calling the winners back to compete in the ultimate competition. This is the first time that they are doing it.
Jamati: This must be pretty exciting for you.
Yes it is. If I win this, it puts me in a whole new league.
Jamati: I am sure you will do well. What have you been doing since you won Wild Out Wednesday?
It definitely opened up more doors for me. It has also helped make me famous in Liberia. People are definitely more aware of me over there since I won. I still perform in the Maryland, DC, Virginia area and was recently in Philadelphia performing for the Liberian Independence Day.
