Matthew Shell of ‘Freedom’ fame shares his latest work with us. This time, ‘Genesis’, ropes in a very talented young man, Arun Shenoy, a GRAMMY® nominated record producer and songwriter with a social conscience whose company donates 100% of revenue from albums sold direct through his company’s website to milaap.org, a micro finance organization that educates and empowers the underprivileged in India.
Arun Shenoy is a songwriter and record producer of Indian origin based in Singapore. He made his production debut in 2010 with the debut record for American hard rock act, Tanadra. Co-written and also arranged by Arun, the music features Tanadra’s powerful vocals on intense guitar-driven music.
The violin arrangement in ‘Genesis’ is brilliant, opening up the song with a haunting melodious sound right at the beginning. The song then segues into a joyful rhythm accompanied by a funky bassline. Ian Cameron makes his violin croon while Teo Lee works on getting the bass to be funky yet not overpowering. Vahagn Stepanyan and Jonathan Wesley help round it out on keyboards, while Sebastian Wyrobisch keeps it all together on drums.
You can follow Arun Shenoy on his official website or follow him on Facebook and Twitter. You can also listen to more of his work on his YouTube channel.
