Introducing Queen Sheba Sahlemariam..

Sheba SahlemariamNamed after the Queen Sheba, the famed empress of Ethiopia herself, I musically introduce to you Ethiopia’s very own Sheba Sahlemariam, a singer, songwriter, arranger, and producer. A rising name in New York, Europe, the Caribbean, and Africa, Sheba has been in the game for what seems like forever, both singing and writing with the likes of  Grammy-nominated producer, Tommy “Madfly” Faragher, who is also part of the birthing process of Sheba’s debut album ‘The Lion of Sheba’. With her single ‘Love This Lifetime’ already a big hit I can only imagine what the finished album will be like. because this is one women who really loves to experiment with different sounds and knows just how to effortlessly blend each sound with her beautiful voice to produce top-quality material.

Her single ‘Love This Lifetime‘ took me back down memory lane on an unexpected musical journey and  Sheba is proving herself to be a true talent, not a “one minute” wonder. She is one to watch out for in the industry bringing you a unique mixture of reggae, afro-pop, dancehall, and urban music.

For more on the Ethiopian beauty log on to her myspace page.
