Jamelia has been scorching the music scene since she impressed the Parlophone Records execs with self-written acappella songs. Her three studio albums have produced eight UK top ten singles, garnered her four MOBO awards, a Q award, and six Brit award nominations. Her single, ‘I Do‘ tore up the charts, made the UK top forty, and held top twenty positions in France and Sweden. Subsequent songs have been chart successes, including ‘Money’, ‘Call Me‘, and ‘Boy Next Door‘.

Jamelia was recently spotted at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards (she served as one of the panel judges along with Lemar) where fellow musician, Estelle won the Ultimate Believe In Yourself Award. She won the 2007 Birmingham’s Most Stylish Personality award (this award is for folks born in Birmingham, her hometown).
