Kirk Franklin, Musiq Soulchild and Rahsaan Patterson all in one stage at the “One World Music Festival”.

Kirk Franklin

One of the biggest highlights from this past weekend must be the One World Music Festival that took place between July 25′th to the 27′th. This festival has become an important part of the South African culture ever since it’s first year in the running. The festival is a three day event that takes place in Durban , South Africa highlighting the rich culture of Africa, South America, Europe, New Orleans and the Caribbean.

Like every year the festival brings together major artists from both the national and the international industries and this year the festival brings you Kirk Franklin, Musiq Soulchild and Rahsaan Patterson along side local acts such as Lira, KB, Hip Hop Pantsula, Dj Cleo, Dj Black Coffee, Mama Busi Mhlongo, The Soul Rebels, Judith Sepuma, Siphokazi, Selaelo Selota, Afro Fiesta, Ladysmith God Followers and the Ekurhuhuleni youth choir.

Musiq Soulchild

Another great success indeed the festival has been from the perfomances, the food, the fashion and just over all the festival it’s self. It’s no suprise that this event has become one of the biggest events of the year, i mean with SABC One as the major sponsor come on, One Music Festival is sure indeed a life time event.
