When you think of Ethiopian music, you often think of traditional music, usually sang in Amharic. Nhatty Man and Betty G will change your perception of that.

Melding traditional and contemporary music into a rap flow that has you tapping your feet, they draw you in to a new style of music. With a hint of beats from different parts of Africa, he throws in a background of Ethiopian flair and edgy rap lyrics.
On heavy rotation on Ethiopian radio stations, Nhatty Man is poised to take the African music market by storm. A former civil engineering student, Nhatty Man a.k.a. Nhatnael Ayalew decided to follow his dreams and pursue music.
He started off as a DJ and then moved into producing his own album. His single, ‘Brand New Day’ has garnered him critical acclaim and placed him firmly on the African music map. In 2011 he released his first album, ‘Man’, which was a great success.
Selamino and the Hahu band, popular in the D.C. metro area will open up for them.
His freshman appearance in the United States will be at the Howard Theater on August 25, 2012 at 11:00 p.m. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the Howard Theater website.
