Social permissiveness is one thing, turning a blind eye toward immoral behaviour is another. We, Africans, are trying to shatter negative stereotypes and project a wholesome image to the world. We will not succeed until we learn to condemn what is wrong and set higher standards for ourselves.

Shirline, Kenya is one of the most progressive countries in Africa - economically, socially etc etc speaking. Your remark about the Kenyan media is quite patronizing and irrelevant to the reader's general appreciation of your MAMA report. Besides, South Africa, Kenya is the only Westernized (and therefore socially tolerant) country south of the Sahara. This cannot be lost to anybody who has been visiting Nairobi since the early 1990s. Surely!

I am a Kenyan and a fan of Jamati.
