We were first introduced to Selasi when he appeared on several episodes of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘. He shared some of his experiences with Jamati in 2009.
He appeared alongside Grammy Award winning multi-platinum singer/songwriter, Kandi Burruss and will now join her team of experts on Bravo TV’s newest reality show, ‘The Kandi Factory’. The show follows Kandi Burruss, and team as they transform 16 aspiring artists into seasoned entertainers. ‘The Kandi Factory’ is scheduled to premiere on April 9, 2013.
The Ghana-born Atlanta based artist who has produced, engineered, and co-written songs for a variety of artists most notably Kandi Burruss and Golden Globe nominee, Idris Elba. Other artists include Keyshia Cole, Akon, NAS, Jagged Edge, Trey Songz, Bobby Valentino, GS Boyz, Pimp C, Ying Yang Twins, Rasheeda, Killer Mike, Petey Pablo, Yung Joc, Q Parker (112), Rich Kidz releases Shades Of Grey, a 5-track EP pulsating with the rhythms of the diaspora blending American, Africa, and Caribbean dancehall rhythms in a musical mélange of sound. “I called this project Shades Of Grey, because it exists in a grey area that’s not completely African, American, or Caribbean,” explains Selasi. “It’s Global Pop – a mixture of my African roots blended with Caribbean and American influences. As a child Selasi, who was born in Ghana traveled all over the African continent from Cameroon, Nigeria, and Malawi to Zimbabwe and South Africa before settling in Atlanta, GA (USA).
