“Yearning for Home” is a deliciously blended samba taken from the Nigerian-born, Siji’s sophomore album, ‘ADESIJI’. The single profoundly speaks for itself and, asĀ one who is far away from home, I immediately fell in love with the song, as every line in the song took me miles away and had me reminiscing about the land that birthed me.
As a Sergio Mendes music lover, I loved the feelingĀ that Siji’s music brought upon me, as it reminded me so much of Sergio’s music. “Yearning for Home” is in many ways a reminder that you can take a person away from they birth home, but you can’t take the memories of where they are from away from them. Happy music sharing.
