Matthew Shell (MTS Music) is at it again. His song ‘Genesis’ is but a glimpse into the promise that is to be his latest album, ‘Victorious‘.
In ‘Victorious’, one is introduced to great music production, in part due to the talent that he manages to amass for each song. Take ‘Genesis’, for example. He produces this with Grammy-nominated Arun Shenoy and showcases the talents of various musicians. In ‘Another Way To Get To Heaven’, he teams up with Kenny McNeil, a vocal artist/producer from Northern Virginia (he has written for Rob Mercer on his hit single “Amazingly” and has also written for Free, from BET’s 106 & Park) to put together a song highlighting the piano keyboard-caressing skills of Vahagn Stepanyan.
Some of you might have already heard the go-go version of Selena Gomez’s song, ‘Come & Get It‘, that is currently playing on the Washington DC station, WPGC 95.5 (free download). This version takes on the popular go-go style, considered a trademark DC sound, and was co-produced by Shell, 4DC Music Group and DJ Flexx. It is has been moving steadily up the charts.
‘Cherish the Journey’ with Marcus Johnson is a beautiful remix. Very relaxing music for a lazy afternoon, it has a calm, soulful sound to it.
‘Victorious‘ is scheduled to be out on July 25, 2013. You can listen to the whole album ahead of time here.
