I am so super excited to share that “Driis”, the alter ego of actor Idris Elba and DJ Driis has finally released his awaited album titled “High Class Problem Vol 1″. The album was recently released in England where Driis calls home and so fare it has been well received as it paints a different picture from the Idris Elba, the actor.
For those in the loop Driis first love has always been music, he started out as a DJ and an MC in East London before his career as an actor took off yet still despite his success in acting he always remained true to his first love. » Read more…

African Love Tunes
In the spirit of Valentine’s day and and its week, what is a better way to kickstart the week than to share with you some of Africa’s most-loved songs from it’s kings and queens.
Happy “Feel Good” Monday Family
It is no secret that the American industry has, and is, embracing African artistry in a massive way. Just this weekend I had a pleasant surprise of seeing one of Africa’s songstresses, Lira, have her hit single “Feel Good“ played on VH1 Soul. The song is a very mellow yet energy boosting, with a very motivational, smooth, jazzy tune that carries a profound message that needs to be heard in today’s society.

African Screens:Celebrating The African Sense of Self Through Cinema
From his passion for telling stories through cinema, Donald Dewale Omope, an accredited NUJ journalist, skilled photographer and filmmaker has co-established a first of it’s kind platform to celebrate the African Identity. As he points out in this interview with Jamati Entourage ‘Seun Johnson, his African Screens, an online film publication creates a forum for articulating ( in a robust discourse) the plurality of views. This platform facilitates a better understanding of Africans via cinema while garnering respect for African stories and her peoples.

Nnneka’s meets Bob Marley, meets Nina Simone, meets Erykah Badu’s, hard core yet sultry sounds, has left a big mark within the U.S and its industry. Just last night Nneka made her first US television debut on “The Late Night Show with David Letterman”.
