In a well-crafted email to the Jamati Management team, Diaspora Interactive Media Corporation’s Founder & CEO announced the appointment of Ms. Anta Sane as the newest addition to its Management Team. Mr. Mageto, commenting about Sane stated that “ You’ll notice that she’s very well educated with two Masters degrees, and has been nominated for the ‘Who’s Who Among Students in America’, has got a strong PR and Finance background, which I hope will help as she manages the rebirth of the French section, and brings us a whole new set of viewers.”
Anta Sane hails from Senegal and is a graduate of Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, NC. Her dual Masters degrees are in Organizational Leadership and Change with an MBA concentration in Finance. Her undergraduate degree is in Communication Studies from Suffolk University in Boston, Massachussetts, coupled with a minor in Black Studies.
Sane’s professional career encompasses a diverse exposure in banking sales and service, with performance evaluations that have searned her several “Play Like a Champion” awards.
Her humanitarian work includes an internship with The United Nations Population Fund agency in Dakar, Senegal, where she wrote an article about world population day in the United Nations Newsletter, and an advocacy plan to prevent maternal mortality. Sane has also represented UNFPA to the National Assembly of Dakar, presenting a bill regarding health reproduction, sexual health and family planning.
Her exemplary academic and leadership skills led her to work as a Public Relations Coordinator for Suffolk University campus in Dakar, Senegal, where she visited appropriate high schools, coordinated media and related enterprises to promote Suffolk University campuses in Dakar and Boston.
Mageto states that “In a nutshell, Anta’s objective will be to attract and retain viewers and team members from the Francophone community, help us build inroads, and breathe Jamati energy to the existing French-African web space. Please join us in welcoming Anta Sane as she undertakes the task of building strong partnerships in these communities – while fulfilling our commitment to a Pan-African union.”
