It is interesting to note that while at William Penn High School, Otah didn’t start in football, but in basketball where he lettered twice. While he was there, he was convinced by his coach to join the football team where he played so well that the coach had him play as a starter for that solitary year.
He went on to play at Valley Forge Military Academy where he started 17 consecutive games over two seasons, was named the 26th-best junior college offensive lineman by Scout.com and 31st by Rivals.com. He also played basketball where he lettered twice (seems to be his trend).
Pittsburgh’s head coach, Dave Wannstedt, called him the best blocker he’d ever coached. He has several awards and has been a very effective left tackle. He will be one to watch this draft!
