The Guinean community will be hosting their 8th Annual Guinea Soccer Tournament in the Washington DC metro area on Memorial Day weekend.

Sixteen Guinean soccer teams from 15 states in the USA, and one from Canada, will be given an equal opportunity to show their talents, skills, and compete for the tournament’s prestigious trophy. The idea for this tournament, which started 8 years ago, was to bring together all Guineans in North America for a week-end full of fun, sports, connection, and brotherly and sisterly love.
This is an opportunity for anyone who is interested in both soccer, and learning about a new culture, to come out and support the game and the teams. The games will be held Friday 25th through Sunday 27th of May, 2012 at the University of Maryland at College Park, MD.
