Amobi Okoye Teaches American football in Nigeria

Amobi Okoye is determined to help his country in several ways using his celebrity status to garner support. Okoye is a defensive tackle for the Houston Texans and was the youngest player ever to be drafted into the NFL in the first round (he was 19 years old).
The Amobi Okoye Foundation offers hope and encouragement to children in Nigeria, by building communities and promoting stability. One of the programs that it offers is the promotion of academics through athletics. The foundation also administers domestic youth and community programs in the inner cities of Houston and Katy, Texas.
Okoye was recently interviewed by CNN about his American football program in Nigeria and he outlined how the program has helped children achieve academically as they learn American football.
