Camp Marafiki (Kiswahili for ‘friends’) offers an opportunity for a person to train with top runners from around the world including Andrew Musuva, Jonathan Ndambuki, Mbarak Hussein, Patrick Kiptum, Abebe Yimer, and Gena Tufa. The staff include top experts in the fields of sports medicine, physical therapy, massage therapy, and nutrition under the direction of Jon Woo, MD.
Group runs are offered twice a day, and runners are introduced to authentic East African foods including ugali (a kind of porridge made out of maize), githeri (maize and beans), and contemporary New Mexican cuisine.
