The Diaspora World Cup is an opportunity for soccer teams to prove that they are indeed the best of the best teams out there. Teams pit their skills against each other, playing several rounds of soccer to advance up the ladder to the knockout stage where the ultimate winner is declared.

The games are held in Silver Spring (Fairland), Hyattsville (Heurich Stadium), and Germantown (Soccerplex) and host teams from Morocco, Armenia, England, Tanzania, Kenya, Malawi, Gabon, Zambia, France, Nigeria, Spain, Portugal, Ethiopia, Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire, Scotland, Cameroon, Senegal, Niger, and African Union. Matches are currently underway with teams having already played two games each. The competition is fierce as teams fight to prove that they are the best team on the pitch and in the area.
