Ghana beat Nigeria in a well fought out game on Sunday. Ghana played an impressive game, coming back from behind to dash Nigeria’s hopes for a semi-final showing. Junior Agogo removed his shirt to celebrate his winning goal and received a yellow card.

Ivory Coast beat Guinea 5-0. Guinea has struggled to maintain its place and finally succumbed to the seasoned Ivory Coast players. Egypt is set to take on Angola in an anticipated match that is sure to thrill all. Hopefully it will be as exciting as the Ghana/Nigeria and Ivory Coast/Guinea. Angola was never supposed to go this far, according to soccer fans who knew them as the underdogs, yet they have managed to give an impressive performance. It would be something if they could upset the so-far triumphant Egyptian team. Angola held Egypt to a draw in the friendly match-up earlier. Tunisia meets Cameroon and both sides feel confident that they will win. Cameroon has Samuel Eto’o who is the current record holder for all time scoring in the African Cup of Nations, but that won’t be enough to make them succeed. They have been improving as a team and think they can take Tunisia on. Tunisia finished at the top of their group and are looking forward to proving why they should be considered the best in the match-up.
