Whenever we think of Africans and sports we think of soccer, track and field, and boxing. We rarely think of the ‘non-traditional’ sports like swimming, archery, cycling, badminton, sailing or table tennis.

We would like to highlight the names of the Africans to watch in some of the other sports. Swimming has seen a surge in African competitors (72 altogether), so let us introduce you to this year’s contenders:
