The Nigerian basketball team played hard to win their basketball game against Tunisia, ending it with a 60-56 score. They are currently ranked second in Group A, behind the United States. Tunisia is third, and France fourth. The game was very close and the win hard earned. Senegal won their soccer game against Uruguay 2-0 to advance to the next round. They are ranked second in Group A below Great Britain. Their next opponents are the United Arab Emirates, ranked fourth in Group A, on August 1, 2012. Gabon is ranked fourth in Group B and Egypt is ranked third in Group C. Boxing
Siphiwe Lusizi, a boxer in the men’s welter weight boxing division, is scheduled to fight against Ahmed Ahmed Abdulkareem from Iraq today at 10:59 p.m. Aboubakr Seddik Lbida from Morocco drew 16 – 16 in his bantam weight fight against Ibrahim Balla from Australia. Sonjica Ayabonga from South Africa lost 6-15 in the bantam weight division to Detelin Dalakliev from Bulgaria. Isaac Dogboe from Ghana lost 9-10 in the Satoshi Shimizu of Japan. Anthony Ogogo (Nigerian/British) of Britain won his bantam weight fight against Junior Castillo Martinez of the Dominican Repbulic. Muideen Akanji of Nigeria lost 6-15 to Darren O’Neill of Ireland.
