Born and raised in Cameroon, Sakio Bika now calls Sydney, Australia home. He is married and is a father of a two year old son.
Bika represented Cameroon at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and decided to live and train in Sydney. This strong, well built and skillful boxer has several title bouts on his CV, including for the Australian Middleweight Title and New South Wales Middleweight Title.
Bika is aware of how truly lucky he is, because as he explains it, where he grew up there is no future. Bika plans to return to Cameroon as a motivational speaker and proof that if you work hard there is a future – and a bright future at that.
He is one of the featured boxers on the 3rd season of the boxing reality TV series, The Contender on ESPN. He has won fights against Donny McCrary and Sam Soliman (in a rematch fight) and earned a place in the final against Jaidon Codrington at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston on November 6.
Sugar Ray Leonard is taking notice of this African and so should you!

He is powerful and really good at what he does. In the final, he is evenly matched with Codrington. Wonder how many rounds they will go!!
